Simple To Use

It is extremely simple in design. The front is rectangular and made of a gray knit fabric which covers the speakers and gives it that retro feel. In the center is a large metal volume knob with an LED ring at the base that glows green when the speakers are on. The back of the iPod Speaker consists of the power switch, auxillary audio input jack and power connector. Your iPod products easily mount on top of this device. One defining feature is that it comes with two matching speck rubber cases: the skintight for the either the iPod nano or the 30/60 GB iPod. The best part is that it is the first dockable speaker system whose docking station is designed to accommodate the encase iPod, but any dockable Apple MP3 Player may be used with the included rubber spaces. There is also a 1/8" mini auxillary jack on the back for other types of devices such as non-iPod music players and non-docking iPods. Plus, the docking station charges your iPod.

Additional Features

The main features inside the Retro include a 4 inch down-firing subwoofer and two 3 inch front firing left and right speakers - 28 watts of sound to produce both loud and high quality audio. Putting style and features aside, a description of sound quality is necessary. It can be summarized as having audio output that is high quality and will fit most peoples' needs. It performs very sell on both the high and low end. Bass produced is very strong, with a subwoofer that performs very well. The sound volume is excellent, producing very little degradation and clear and crisp sound output. Retro it may look, but there is nothing old-fashioned about this iPod accessory.
